Nick Strausfeld, director of the Center for Insect Science, won a 2012 PROSE Award for Excellence in Biology and Life Sciences from the Association of American Publishers for his book "Arthropod Brains: Evolution, Functional Elegance and Historical Significance." The PROSE Awards recognize the very best in professional and scholarly publishing by bringing attention to distinguished books, journals, and electronic content in more than 40 categories. The 2012 PROSE Awards winners were announced Feb. 7 at a luncheon in Washington, D.C.
